Dispex
[2865]
Dispex is a dispersant for casting clays.
Casting clay that is delivered in powder must be mixed with water (rainwater or other soft water is an advantage but not necessary) and a dispersing agent to set the slurry (ready-mixed casting clay) to the right consistency. With just a few drops, a thick slip can be converted to a thinner and more pourable consistency, for faster and more efficient casting.
After water, Dispex and powdered clay have been mixed, the mixture should stand and soak for a few days. The slip must then be stirred carefully to avoid air from being mixed in.
When we deliver casting slips, dispersants have already been added and the slip is ready to use.
